Tonight on CoastTV News, a powerful blizzard knocked out power across Sussex County, leaving nearly half of Delaware Electric Cooperative customers in the dark as crews worked around the clock to restore electricity, especially in rural areas.

Tonight on CoastTV News, not only were there fallen trees on cars, but entire trees left blocking certain roads in Ocean Pines. And, during the storms most powerful wind and snow gusts, over 100,000 across delmarva were left without power and some even still today are without power.

Delaware starting to return to normal operations today as many businesses and other organizations reopen. Some driving restrictions are still in place as ice on roadways developed overnight.
