Medical waste, such as hypodermic needles, have been reported to wash ashore starting Sunday in Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Fenwick Island, Ocean City, Dewey Beach, the Indian River Inlet and Assateague Island.

A sewer project in Ellendale that could ultimately bring in more development will be reviewed Tuesday at a public hearing during the Sussex County Council meeting
An ordinance to adjust the times restaurants can serve alcohol beverages will be reviewed during a Monday night public hearing at the Dagsboro Town Council meeting. The proposed start time to serve these types of drinks is 11:30 a.m. with last call at 11 p.m.
The Lewes Parks and Recreation Commission is scheduled to review a plan to build kayak storage racks on its beaches. Supporters have expressed concern that people with beach access are leaving kayaks, SUPs (Stand Up Paddleboards), and other items on beach grass.
