A sewer project in Ellendale that could ultimately bring in more development will be reviewed Tuesday at a public hearing during the Sussex County Council meeting
An ordinance to adjust the times restaurants can serve alcohol beverages will be reviewed during a Monday night public hearing at the Dagsboro Town Council meeting. The proposed start time to serve these types of drinks is 11:30 a.m. with last call at 11 p.m.
The Lewes Parks and Recreation Commission is scheduled to review a plan to build kayak storage racks on its beaches. Supporters have expressed concern that people with beach access are leaving kayaks, SUPs (Stand Up Paddleboards), and other items on beach grass.
On Thursday, the Lewes Fire Department said it wrapped up its investigation involving one its members using a racial slur over the department's radio. It concluded that the member was in violation of its harassment and diversity policy.
A 29-year-old Lincoln man is facing five and drug and gun related charges after his arrest Wednesday night in Dover. Khiheim Hanzer was taken into custody at 7:04 pm in a parking lot in the 500 block of North Dupont Highway (U.S. 13).
