OCEAN VIEWÂ Del.- The Ocean View Police Department has introduced a new Residence Check Program designed to assist homeowners while they are away on vacation or for extended periods. Participants in the program will receive an email report detailing officers' observations during their inspections, says the town.
The program's property check times and dates will vary based on the number of homes enrolled. Homeowners interested in participating can submit their requests at OceanViewDe.gov.
This program is similar to the popular Winter Watch program in Dewey Beach, which residents have liked. The Ocean View Police Department provides this service for free, understanding that many property owners do not live in the area year-round.
